Being a busy mom, I don’t get to spend much–if any–time relaxing. Recently, I was given Dr. Teal’s Epsom Salt with lavender as a gift, so I thought I’d give the product a try, and I’m so glad I did.
Maybe it was the soothing salts or maybe it was just being alone for an hour (playing on my iPhone); regardless, I was relaxed. There were a few things I loved about this product. First, was the way the salt felt as it dissolved in the water. It was almost like an exfoliant that eventually dissipated. Also, the lavender smell was soothing. I recently received some lavender essential oil from my FabFitFun Box that I like rubbing on my temples at night for relaxation. This soak worked similarly and made the whole room smell wonderful. Afterward, I was ready to crawl in bed to dreamland.
The other thing I found interesting about the Dr. Teal’s product is that the epsom salt itself is a detox that promotes muscle repair and relaxation. It’s ideal for sore muscles especially after an intense workout. As promised, I felt less sore the next day.
It turns out many people are deficient in magnesium, sulfur, and sulfate. Epsom salts help replenish those vitamins and minerals that the body uses for cardiovascular health and maintaining blood pressure. It’s a win, win.
I bought my 3lb bag from Target for $4.89. This bag will last me serveral uses since only 2 cups are needed per bath. That is such a reasonable price! Much cheaper than a day at a spa–eventhough those are nice too.
So, if you are like me and don’t have much time for yourself or just need some relaxation in your life, try Dr. Teal’s epsom salts. They are an amazing product to destress, rejuvenate, and replenish the body and my new go to after a long day of work.
They also have an amazing Epsom Salt Scrub that leaves my skin feeling soooo soft!
