Yoga in the Park: A free community event

When I saw this event advertised on Facebook, I was immediately intrigued. Yoga, outdoors, and free. Sign me up!

Apparently, Wednesdays is a busy night because I couldn’t find any friends to join me–sadness; however, there were 200+ community members that attended the event.

This one was a bit special. It was National Yoga Day, so Flow yoga hosted the event at Voyager Park in De Pere. The line up was a slow flow session followed by restorative and meditative practices.

Also, each participant received a goodie bag with a full size Camelback water bottle sponsored by Aurora, energy bar from Great Harvest, and free one week session today Flow Yoga in DePere.

My oldest participated in the kids yoga. She loved to be able to do what mommy was doing; she was proud of herself. The youngest played at the park with her dad until everything was over. It ended up being a great event for the whole family and the park is a beautiful backdrop.

Flow Yoga will continue having yoga in the park starting at 6pm at Voyageur Park on Thursday’s in July and August. See their website or Facebook page for other events or details.

Flow also offers other unique events like Yoga and Wine. I love the variety, and plan to attend another Yoga in the Park. Perhaps I’ll see you there. Namaste.
