30 Day Challenges

30 Day Challenge Results for July are In!

Well, this month I did something a little different which was post about some of the progress I was making on my 30 Day Challenge. Not only did it save me from having to write a HUGE post at the end, it keep all of you in the loop with how I was doing on a weekly basis which was fun. July’s goal was to complete four projects by the the end of the month. I could do one a week or all at once, but I had to get them all done in the 30 days.

The first project, landscaping the shed, was a big undertaking, and I have to give my husband most –if not all–of the credit for the completion of this project. He did a TON of work including moving the pavers, digging a trench for them, and adding dirt and mulch. My role was painting the flower box, buying and planting all of the flowers, and adding the decor items. Here are the results.

My second project was to paint and update the basement bathroom. It was a boring, builder shade of white. I made it a Early September blue with a stenciled accent wall. FullSizeRender (6)If you’d like to read more about the progress and see additional pictures, click here.

My third project was to create my own jewelry holder. Up until this time, my jewelry was everywhere, and my kids were constantly taking it, moving it, and wearing it. Annoying! My new holder has a place for everything including earrings, necklaces, and bracelets.2017-07-31_11-01-18_315.jpeg

Lastly, I wanted to create a photo book for all of my New Orlean’s photos using Shutterfly. I do one for each trip and one for each calendar year which I call my annual yearbook. I was able to complete my photobook while on a different vacation. An unrested child who melted down, took a long nap and afforded me extra time to complete this tedious project–remember, I like to write about each event, so these take me a while. I did not order the final product yet because I like to order when I receive a free photobook coupon, but the book is done and ready when the occasion occurs. Seeing as I don’t have a physical copy of this one yet, I have not photos.  Here’s the screenshot.Screenshot 2017-07-31 at 8.53.15 PM.pngAs for my July 30 Day Challenge goal, I was able to meet it by a day! It took a lot of physical work and time to get the projects completed, but I’m loving the results of all of them. Again this was another fun challenge to complete, and I’m looking forward to my August challenge. Stay tuned to see what that will be.
