Not gonna lie, I’m typing this after having a glass-or two-of wine. No, not enough to impair just enough to sip alongside a killer meal my husband made on this ordinary Thursday night. And sitting here–in my usual spot in the living room, laptop in hand–I’m thinking to myself that I’m thankful to have such a beautiful meal, satisfying glass of wine, and loving husband. #perfectnight #cheerstothursday
With Thanksgiving at the end of the month, I feel this month naturally asks me to find the happy in each day— the little things I’m thankful in each moment– which in my eyes is the PERFECT goal for November. I mean THANKS is in the name of the holiday. Duh.
Last month was all about decompressing, spending time doodling, drawing on my creative side. This month is about capturing the beauty that is present. The small things that make each day great, positive, uplifting. So, for the month of November, I will write down one–or more–things that I am thankful for each day. It could be something super small, but It’s a simple step that I’m hoping will help me to step back and see the importance of each day instead of always plowing through to the next.
Are you with me? Will you join me in finding the good in each day? I think it’s the perfect goal to make each of us realize there is so much to be appreciative for in our lives.
So, I’ll leave you with some last thoughts: enjoy that sunrise when your infant wakes you far too early, enjoy that cup of coffee when you are driving to work even though you may have spilled a little on your shirt, enjoy the big enveloping hug from your child before he no longer wants to hug you because you are “mom” and just not so cool anymore. Enjoy it all!
And at the end of the month, I’ll catch up with all of you to let you know some of the things that I captured of my daily life that makes me a more appreciative person.
