My Spring FabFitFun Fall box just arrived which means it is time to talk last season’s box: Winter 2017. By getting down to the nitty gritty of what worked for me and what did not. This is a different take on a reveal box. Instead of revealing the items to you without ever using them, I will rate my success with each product after using them for several months. No spoilers here.
For those that don’t know about FabFitFun, it is a quarterly subscription box that is truly awesome! Each box comes with 6-9 items. It’s a little steeper than some subscription boxes at $50 a box, but you only get it 4 times a year and get over $250 worth of products!
The bonus is that these are FULL size high quality products. I usually get two to three beauty/facial items and three “other” items like candles, planners, accessories, etc. I’ve found that even if I only like two of the items, those two items typically equal out to double the cost I paid for the box. Plus, I LOVE trying out new products.
With that, I’d like to talk about the products from the 2017 Winter Box with a focus on which ones were my favorite must buy items.
2017 Winter FabFitFun Box Products
1. BB Dakota Poncho – $70
Bulky coats are boring and get in the way of feeling dressed up, so having an alternative such as the BB Dakota Poncho has been the perfect option for me this winter. Not only did I get TONS of compliments on it, I could wear it over a dressy outfit with the cute beanie from the fall box and some gloves to stay warm enough to move from car to establishment. No bulkiness. Perfect coziness to snuggle up without needing a blanket and reversible! ∗∗∗∗∗
You can find similar the BB Dakota Poncho here. Additional poncho options here and here (affiliate links).
2. DOUCCE Freematic Eyeshadow Pro Palette in Smokey or Nude – $70

There are so many shades in this palette! I like all the neutrals, but my favorite is the white! It is perfect in the corner of your eye to add a little sparkle. The colors go on smoothly with no caking. The highlighter is a medium tone which blends nicely with the shades from the kit. Not all the colors were my favorite, but the best part is that the colors are removable; you can switch them out with other shades to change the entire contents of the case. ∗∗∗∗
Both colors are half the price here (smokey) and here (neutral)!
What I love even more, is this smaller quad shadow kit! It is the perfect size to take anywhere (affiliate links).
3. Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment – $75
This products uses natural enzymes to make your face feel exfoliated. The product is sticky, so I find it best to use in the shower. It also needs to sit for a few minutes to work it’s magic. When reading the directions, it does say that users may experience a warming sensation. Personally, I did not like that feeling on my face. It did leave my skin feeling smooth after, but this was not my favorite product. ∗∗
You can find it here (affiliate link).
4. Pointe Studio Aloe Infused Cozy Socks – $19

These socks live up to their name! They are so cozy and feel great over a pair of leggings. The aloe is an added touch that soothes my feel after a long day. I wear these almost every night, curled up on the couch with my favorite Netflix binge. They have washed up fairly well; however, I don’t know if they will last more than one winter for me as I do wear them very often. A great gift for any lady. ∗∗∗∗∗
I couldn’t find the same socks online, but here is a 3 pack of aloe infused socks that look similar (affiliate link).
5. 8 Other Reasons-Nine Lives Choker in Silver or Rose Gold – $58
This choker is all one piece and looks polished the minute it is around your neck. I find that I’d prefer it with a lower or v-neck top, so that it mimics the neckline. Even though it looks dainty, it is a sturdy piece. Overall, it is very pretty; I just haven’t found myself wearing it more than some of my other jewelry pieces which could be because it is silver instead of gold–my prefered color. ∗∗∗
Same brand but slightly different style here and here (affiliate links).
6. AHAVA Mineral Hand Cream – $33
This hand cream boasts about its connection to the minerals from the Dead Sea. There is also an addition of witch hazel to soothe chapped winter fingers. It is a non-greasy hand cream that creates softer hands. I like applying it at bedtime to wake up with smoother, silkier skin in the morning.∗∗∗∗

7. Homemade by Ayesha Curry Ceramic Mug – $16
Cute, cute, cute mug! I love the sayings on these mugs. From “Love you a latte”, to”Coming in hot” and “I’d rather be in bed”, they are sure to put a smile on your face. These would make a perfect gift. ∗∗∗∗∗
You have to go directly to the site for this one. Find it here.
For my choice items this quarter, there were two beauty choices and two wellness choices.

8. This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray – $29

For the wellness choice, there was FFFTV Fitness Ball with Jillian Michaels videos or This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray. I already had a fitness ball at home, so I thought I’d give the pillow spray a chance. WOW! I love it! It’s one of my favorite things from this box. It smells amazing and does help me relax while closing my eyes. I put a little on my pillow while I read. The scents of lavender, vetivert, and camomile are amazing. I’ve already bought a second bottle. ∗∗∗∗∗
Trust me, you’ll want this link. Full size and gift size (affiliate links).

9. Grace & Stella Anti-Wrinkle + Energizing Eye Mask – $16 (6 masks)

For the beauty choice item, there was Nelson j Beverly Hills Moisture Healing Hair Mask with coconut scent (affiliate link). It sounds amazing, but I’m a bit picky with hair products. So, I went the “safe” route by trying our the Grace & Stella Anti-Wrinkle + Energising Eye Masks. I wasn’t sad about my choice. While on, these eye masks might look a little goofy, but boy do they hydrate. With two young kids at home, I can use all the help I can get to look more awake and energized. I love that this mask does the trick and the price is so on point that most beauty lovers can afford this one! ∗∗∗∗∗
Find it here. including 12 masks (affiliate link).
10-12. Digestive Advantage, Philips LED, and Organic Doctor Tea Tree Beauty Stick- Sponsored Items
All FabFitFun boxes come with a sponsored sample, but this time around there were three! These are great items, but the one I must rave about is the Organic Doctor Tea Tree Beauty Stick. I have been having terrible acne on my chin. It was literally like I went back to been a teenager! After trying many products and then not trying product to try to figure out what was going on, I found that the Tea Tree Stick worked amazing! I couldn’t believe I stumbled upon the right product just when I wasn’t sure where to turn for relief. I just roll it on and then apply my moisturizer. Right now, I’m in love!
It’s a must in my routine day and night. Find it here (affiliate link).
This box was soooo full of items! It was one of my all time favorites as there were so many great finds and things I loved to use to pampering myself.
If I had a must buy, it would be ….
It has the best calming effect at bedtime and is the perfect quick fix if I do not have the time for a bath with epsom salts. Worth it!
I would also have to add the sponsored item from the Organic Doctor due to my positive results. I’m not sure everyone would get the same, but it is something I will buy again. Plus, it lasts a long time. Of course, both the poncho and mug had high ratings as well.
Overall, the Winter Box was worth the $45 I paid. The total value for this box is between $375 to $395 depending on the choice items selected! Making it one of the biggest and best hauls I’ve received from this service so far.
Note: The link to FabFitFun is a referral link. If you decide you’d like to give this box a try, I’d love for you to use the referral link. As all referrals go, I get a small one time bonus for referring you to this service. FabFitFun did not pay me for any of this feedback; it is 100% my own because I think it is a neat subscription service, and I love blogging about it. I truly love it, and I’ve told all my friends, so now I’ve also told you. #365daysofnew
